Generally these programs tell you that if you use their system that you will see results in 7 days. In fact some might even take the promise further and promise weight loss in even under three days. Incredible, or is it? To be honest reader these programs are lying to you most of the times. I have to admit some will deliver on their promise to shed those extra pounds; however at what cost.</p>
<p>Generally your body will need around 2000 to 2500 calories per day in order to maintain your current body weight. So naturally if you were to reduce you calorie count then over time you will lose weight. Some diets might take this to the extreme in that they assume that if you eliminate things like fats then you will lose weight. They achieve the desired results but at a cost to your health. Additionally users of these so called healthy weight loss diet programs tend to gain the weight after they have completed the program.</p>
<p>A good healthy weight loss diet program will incorporate all food groups as healthy diets are based on balance and not on elimination. Therefore when thinking of going on a diet you should check with your physician to ascertain whether or a particular diet is right for you.  This will also help to clear up any confusion that you might have about a particular diet program.</p>
<p>Additionally a good diet will require that you do some amount of exercise per day as dieting is more effective when paired with exercise. Above all when you choose a diet program, stick to it. Most people make the mistake of returning to their unhealthy habits and end up gaining back the weight or even more.</p>

Some of my friends tend to make fun of dieting they like to say that they are on a seafood diet; “I see food I eat food”. I do not recommend this type of diet at all. I also notice that ladies especially teenage girls like to go on the starve yourself diet. Again I cannot and will not recommend this method either as it can does more harm than good. So what do you do when you are faced with the challenge of losing a couple of pounds or when you seriously need to lose weight?</p>
<p>First thing to note is that before you undertake any form of weight loss program be it dieting or exercise consult a doctor. You can and will find tons of articles and websites dedicated to weight loss. However, you cannot believe everything you see and hear. Even the testimonials on those sites may not have been from actual persons that have lost weight, but from persons paid to write those stories. Hence the consultations with your doctor before trying any healthy diet weight loss programs is essential as your doctor will be able to tell you if it can indeed help or harm your body.</p>
<p>Whichever healthy diet weight loss program you decide to go on there are some commonalities that will always be present in the best ones. For starters every good diet will incorporate lots of water, leafy green vegetables and fresh fruits. Healthy diets will also incorporate some amount of fats in them as these diets understand that to lose weight is not about eliminating foods or food groups from your diet but creating a healthy balance.</p>

Haven’t you ever noticed the countless amounts of pictures that these adverts use of “overweight people” before they used the program and the after photos of them looking near super model like? I have and it makes me wonder how much of them are actually real.</p>
<p>So amidst all this confusion how will you be able to determine the program that is right for you? One of the best options available to you is the natural diet. What do I mean by natural? Have you noticed the amount of weight loss programs that promise significant weight loss by simply popping pills?  Sure have. And believe me they scare me to death. Especially I have also seen the ads warning persons who have taken some of those pills to make contact with a certain agency as they may be at serious health risk.</p>
<p>A good healthy weight loss diet plan will not involve pills and shakes as replacements to real healthy food. Real diets incorporate all the essential food groups in the right amount per serving. The main thing to any program is portion size and balance. No good diet will tell you to skip a meal. Another thing that great diets take into consideration is incorporating exercise into the mix. Sure you will be able to lose weight and not exercise; however, exercise will make the process faster and not to mention that healthy dieting and exercise will improve your overall health.</p>

The trouble that I have is that there are so many programs out there it makes it hard for me to tell which ones will help from the ones that only serve to damage my health. I have seen almost all there is to see. I have seen the pills the shakes and the so-called food supplements that promise to drop the pounds like a bad habit. It almost seems as if most of those programs only focus on the quick fix or on cutting out an entire meal.</p>
<p>Well it is a good thing that I decided to do my research as these “miracle” shakes, pills and meal replacements are far from healthy. Yes, you are able to lose weight by using these products; however, at what cost. A well known weight loss pill suffered bad press as it was found that some of its users had negative reactions to it. The thing is unless you talk to a nutritionist or a doctor you may never know what is really in those pills and how it could affect your body.</p>
<p>What you really need to do when choosing a healthy diet for weight loss is research and lots of it. Do not just take every program at face value and believe all the hype that you see as sometimes the hype is not real. The main thing to remember is that the secret to weight loss is not so big of a secret at all – all you need is patience and determination to see the program through. I would recommend programs that take a natural approach to weight loss and one that recommends some amount of exercise as well. Remember to get informed before selecting your weight loss program.</p>

<p>The first day of the weight loss program involves a long and steady walk in a little over twenty minutes.  After the walk, follow it up with a good stretch.  This takes so little of your time for the first day.  In less than an hour you have taken that first step to a weight loss program that could work to your advantage.</p>
<p>By the second day, it is good to focus on an upper body workout.  This maintains your strength to be able to go through the whole weight loss program for the week.  On the third day, a brisk walk or jog for ten minutes is in order.  For beginners, a lower body workout should be done in the evening.</p>
<p>In the fourth day, a good rest is in order, as well as a good stretch.  This lag time should be used wisely though to sort out any negatives in your mindset.  The fifth day starts with a good ten minute walk.  Exercise the lower body in four sessions of workouts, follow this up with another ten minute walk, and another four sessions of lower body workout.</p>
<p>The sixth day should be spent on a low impact exercise such as swimming.  To avoid boredom, do not be afraid to try something new.  The last day of the week is a time to solicit the support of the people you care about.  Spend time with them or get them to be with you in your long walk.  Again, follow up your walk with a light upper body workout.</p>
<p>This is just the beginning though.  If by this first week you are able to stick to the weight loss program, you have a great chance to further boost your weight loss and stay with the program until you achieve your desired result.  Try as much as possible to be unlike the people who give up easily just because they could not see the result they want at the time they want – like this moment, today, now!   Patience is a virtue.  The same way it took your body time to gain all that weight, think about it as the time your body will have to exert just to get rid of it. Stick to the weight loss program and you will lose weight.</p>

People all over the world still believe that eating breakfast, or even three meals a day will cause them to gain weight. In truth, as long as they are eating the right types of foods and exercising, then three normal meals or six small meals a day will actually work better with their metabolism than eating the wrong quantities or not eating often enough.</p>
<p>With more than half of Americans over the age of 20 now being considered &#8220;overweight&#8221;, now more than ever, we need to understand how metabolism works in relation to losing weight. Why risk having a heart attack, a stroke, developing cancer, or diabetes when all you have to do is make a few minor changes and live a healthy life? First, a person&#8217;s metabolic rate is determined by the number and size of respiring cells that compromise the body&#8217;s tissue, and the intensity of the metabolism in these cells. These two factors combined are what makeup the physiological foundation of the amount of energy (calories) in which a body uses.</p>
<p>Keep in mind that energy cannot be created or destroyed, just changed. As we know, potential energy comes from the foods we eat. When talking about weight loss, there are three components of balanced energy, which include calorie intake, calories stored, and calories expended. The way it works is that if the amount of calories taken in equals the amount of calories being expended (burned), then there is balance and the body&#8217;s weight is stable.</p>
<p>On the other hand, if the balance becomes positive, caused by more food being eaten than is burned, energy is destroyed or in better terms, stored as body fat. It is important to remember that you can be eating a diet considered low-fat and still gain weight. The reason is that most dietary fat is stored while the body is burning carbohydrates and proteins for energy. The problem is the when a person gains weight, the increased level of fat becomes stored energy until the calorie balance is negative. For that to happen, the amount of calories burned needs to exceed the number of calories being consumed, no matter what the macronutrient content.</p>

<p>Sears says that you can test to see whether you are &#8216;hormonally&#8217; correct by eating following the Zone diet and see how you feel four hours later.  To simplify the Zone Diet, fill one-third of a plate with low-fat protein, and then two-thirds with fruits and vegetables.</p>
<p>Celebrities and some health experts say that the Zone&#8217;s recommendations do not stray far from the USDA&#8217;s (United States Dietary Association) dietary guidelines and therefore are advocates of the Zone Diet.  Others argue that the Zone Diet has flawed ratios but Sears argues that the Zone diet is a low-glycemic-load diet that has adequate protein.  .</p>

<p>As the food industry evolved, more carbohydrates have been introduced into our daily diet, thus causing an imbalance in our metabolism to burn fat.
