There are many ways in which you can lose weight quickly, but many of these options are far from safe. Crash dieting is always a bad idea, it can leave your body in a bad state and you could well find that it actually does not aid you with losing weight at all. This is because when you make sudden or rapid changes to your diet, your body goes into a type of shock and instead of losing weight, it will be stored as fat reserves. This happens because when your body does not know when it’s next meal is coming in, self-preservation steps in.

A safer way to lose weight quick is to monitor exactly what you are eating and to be ruthless with yourself. Do you really need that candy bar with your lunch? It is unlikely so replace with with another treat that is just as sweet, but contains less fat and sugar. Cutting out treats entirely from your diet will only punish you and is also more likely to lead you into a binge through temptation. When you have been doing so well and then it is ruined by a blow-out on junk food, your self-esteem will fall through the floor.

There are some very simple swaps that you can do to lose weight fast. Instead of drinking fizzy drinks, replace them with a healthy fruit juice. Rather than adding full fat milk to your breakfast each morning, pour on some semi-skinned and watch those pounds drop off. Use a sweetener in your tea instead of sugar, sugar is actually extremely fattening and is high in calories. Alcohol also plays a high ranking part to a diet so if you do not want to cut it out completely, swap your glass of red wine for white, or a beer for spirits instead. Gradually through making all of these changes, you will see your body shape change very quickly and your friends will soon be seeing a new you.
